Super Hero Dunks

So I was traveling through the blog worl d as I usually do and i stumbled across these amazing concept dunks. Based off of some super heroes & villians from our childhood. Ironman, Batman, Robin, Shredder [wow who thought of him?] and Wolverine. My personal favorites are the batmans [im going to get the SB Mids soon enough] but the Ironman's and Shredders are pretty cool too. These are all custom IDs so I don't think you can buy them but you might be able to make them yourself on nikeid.com.

Seven Pounds

So this is the movie of the year. I don't care that it came out yesterday, the plot is so intricate but it comes together so well. You have to pay attention to everything because all pieces of information serve a purpose later on in the movie. It is also a very sad movie. Pretty ironic how Will Smith wears an "808 & Heartbreak" throughout most of the movie.
But yea, this movie tells the tale of a man who is torn by causing the death of seven individuals, his wife among them. "God created the world in seven days, I destroyed mine in seven seconds." The number seven is also a reoccuring theme in the movie. (this is kind of a spoiler lol) In return for the seven lives he caused to be taken he saved seven lives. He gave his home, liver, lung, bone marrow, left eye, right eye, and his heart.
In short, go watch it!

808s, an Art Break

OK, I stumbled across this while looking thru DubFrequency's blog. Visual interpretation of each track on the album by an artist known as Fred Hart. My favorite pieces are the Love Lock Down piece and Pinnochio Story. I like all of them though. Enjoy.

Pinnochio Story

“Well here it is, the complete series of my version of 808s & Heartbreak song covers! I begin with the initial cover for the album, and then go song by song, as they’re presented on the album, each telling a story through imagery, as a metaphor for the journey Kanye West has traveled that allowed us this genius piece of work, 808s & Heartbreak. Each cover looks to create a sort of frame by frame for the album as a whole, with imagery relating to each song, a still shot from each song that allows you to use the lyrics and project your interpretations of each song onto the piece. This is my tribute to Kanye West, whose trials and tribulations have undoubtedly made this the album of the year, if not this decade in my opinion, and a tribute to his mother Donda West as well. So I hope you enjoy this artwork, and please feel free to let me know what you think.” [Fred Hart aka Fhart06]

Blueprint 3

While Jay-Z told us that the album might come out as late as 09, I knew he was lying. Hov always drops his albums at the end of the year, and the BP3 is said to drop before christmas.

He has 3 total singles from the album so far. Jockin Jay-Z, History and Brooklyn We Go Hard ft. Santogold. I like all three, thought I haven't heard too much of the last two. I've been too busy listenin to 808s and Thr33 Rings. Enjoy.
